Golden Lines: Kintsugi-Inspired Paper Collage & Tea Ceremony
It's getting colder outside, so let's make something warm together. Join us for a calm, unhurried afternoon, inspired by meditative Eastern traditions.
We'll explore the philosophy of finding beauty in broken things and translate it into paper art together. We'll create a minimalist collage inspired by the ancient art of kintsugi. Instead of ceramics we'll use different pieces of textured paper, brought together with gold and silver paint.
The creative process will be accompanied by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. It's a whole ritual of mindfulness and presence. If you've never experienced a tea ceremony before, this is a great opportunity to try it. All art materials and tea ceremony equipment are provided, and no experience is needed.
In this workshop you will:
- Create your own kintsugi-inspired paper collage using coloured paper and gold or silver paint
- Take part in a meditative tea ceremony in a warm, quiet, welcoming space
- Enjoy a slow, cosy afternoon of creativity and gentle conversation
- Leave with your finished artwork and a sense of warmth for the season ahead
The event will be held in English. Participation is a donation-based, with a suggested contribution of €30.
