Atlas, mapeamento poético takes the form of a choreographic project, drawing on poetic text conceived as an indictment, a manifesto, a weapon, a desire for survival or a confrontation. Originating from a mapping of the world’s poetry as a manifesto that is both human and humanist, Atlas, mapeamento poético proposes an encounter between the experience of immigration in Portugal and the poetic universe of different parts of the world.
Our coexistence with immigration in Portugal, within a space of geographical proximity, is largely represented as a space of distance and ignorance that we wish to bridge and bring closer together.
