The past few weeks have seen a number of significant developments. At the Municipal Executive meeting on 12 May, Councillor for Culture Jorge Sobrado, seconded by Mayor Pedro Duarte, advocated for the creation of a Museum of Resistance and Freedom in the former PIDE/DGS building on Rua do Heroísmo (now the Military Museum). This exhibition, which brings together 10 artefacts commemorating the anti-fascist resistance in Porto, will reopen its doors exceptionally next Saturday, 6 June, at 2.30 pm at the LINO cultural space for a guided tour open to the public with free admission.
