Matérica’s Family Pottery Workshop is always a time of great relaxation shared by all family members.
It offers an excellent opportunity to strengthen creative bonds across generations, allowing parents and children to work side by side, exploring the tactile experience of working with ceramic materials, including decorative painting.
We create functional and decorative objects that become lasting family memories, embodying shared experiences from collaborative work.

This welcoming family pottery experience, held in the bright studio at OFICINA MATÉRICA, allows families to discover the fundamentals of pottery through an accessible hands-on activity, offering two distinct approaches: learning to shape a utilitarian piece—such as plates, bowls, cups, or mugs—from pure, raw clay using modeling techniques, or alternatively, painting and glazing pre-fired bisque pieces with colorful ceramic glazes.

This flexible workshop format accommodates a variety of family interests and skill levels appropriate for each age group.
All pieces created undergo professional firing in a kiln, which transforms the clay into functional ceramics.
The pieces are available for pickup after the drying and firing cycles, completing the transformation of the raw material or bisque pieces into finished ceramics, handmade by family members.
