The European Researchers' Night (ERN) is a Europe-wide initiative that celebrates science by bringing researchers and citizens together. In 2026 and 2027, it will take place simultaneously in 40 countries and hundreds of cities across Europe.

Organized by the European Commission since 2005 under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), ERN brings scientific research closer to society and shows that science is part of everyone's daily life.

Every year, the last Friday of September becomes a true celebration of science, where visitors can discover how research contributes to improving our quality of life and addresses some of society's greatest challenges.

Throughout the evening, researchers step outside their laboratories to engage with the public, answer questions, and share their work through hands-on experiments, games, demonstrations, guided tours, debates, and many other interactive activities.

Because science is everywhere: in health, technology, the environment, culture, food, energy, food and culture. Understanding science means understanding the world around us.
