With a degree in Fashion Design, Ana Amaro has been dedicated to photography since adolescence. Through fashion magazines, she discovered the connection between the two fields that continue to define her creative practice: image and design. Her first projects emerged spontaneously through editorial and portrait photography, interests she further developed during her Fashion Design degree, frequently incorporating photography into her academic work. She works in product and portrait photography for brands and entrepreneurs, as well as wedding photography and coverage of artistic and gastronomic events. Her approach is characterised by an attentive and observant eye, focused on details, visual narratives, and the relationships between people, objects, and contexts.
Originally from Ribatejo and now based in Porto, the city where she had always wanted to live, she finds her main source of inspiration in the urban environment and the dynamics of everyday life. Her work prioritises the authenticity of places and people, valuing spontaneity, informal gestures, and genuine moments that reveal the uniqueness of each story.
