Creative workshop developed around the theme of art and recycling, focused on using discarded materials as a sustainable alternative. Drawing in Matter: Experimentation and Reuse—an experimental drawing and printmaking workshop using reused and organic materials.
Lígia Rios and Sandra Barros are currently completing their degree in Visual Arts and Artistic Technologies at ESE – Escola Superior de Educação and have a solid background in fashion design, with training at CITEX, as well as in non-formal arts education. Since 2004, both have been active in coordinating creative and artistic projects and are also founders of the Art-ividade Association. They stand out for their work with diverse audiences and for integrating sustainable practices into their approach.
With experience in managing and facilitating sociocultural initiatives, they promote methods rooted in creativity, material reuse, and community engagement, encouraging an accessible, practical, and interdisciplinary approach to arts education. Grounded in a critical perspective on material consumption, they prioritize waste as a creative resource in artistic and educational contexts.
Open workshop for all ages.
No prior knowledge required.
Materials will be provided on the day and at the event venue.
Free participation, subject to space capacity.
