Cristiano Felismina (Cris DK), born in Nazaré, Portugal, is a self- taught painter whose work explores the human condition through contemporary figurative painting. Situated between realism and psychological portraiture, his paintings privilege emotional presence over photographic accuracy, addressing themes of identity, vulnerability and resilience.
Silent Screams brings together paintings from the Red series alongside a selection of works from earlier bodies of work. United by an atmosphere of stillness and profound emotional intensity, these paintings explore the invisible wounds that lie beneath the surface.
Throughout the exhibition, red becomes more than a colour: it evokes memory, violence, sacrifice, love and transformation, while the figures remain suspended between vulnerability and strength. Rather than offering fixed narratives, these works invite viewers to inhabit a space where silence becomes its own language, reminding us that the deepest screams are often the ones that are never heard.
