The FÓRUM NADA NOVO II investigates the fate of the remains of the buildings we demolish (with its epicentre in Porto), and searches for the stray pieces that escape fragmentation, the places where they have accumulated, the underlying causes of these processes, and the agents responsible for them.
It maps out lives, highlights meanings and records the new ‘mines’ and new uses.
It recovers fragments and builds the Forum in which ‘nothing is new’—neither the fragments nor the practice of reuse—supporting the central reflection:
What shared future lies ahead with re-use? How will we change? How will we act?
