Quarteto Tágide presents a programme that combines tradition, modernity and world premieres. The musical and sensory journey begins with Clockworks and Clouds, a new work by João Carlos Pinto, artist in residence this season at Casa da Música, which evokes contemporary and imaginative soundscapes. This is followed by Maurice Ravel’s Quartet in F major, a piece of refined impressionistic elegance, rich in colour and texture. The concert ends with Shostakovich’s powerful Quartet No. 8, written in a context of deep introspection and marked by an emotional and historical intensity that echoes to this day.
