The Amazon is also made of mysteries, memories, fears, legends and stories passed down through generations.

On 30 October at 9:30 pm, Panorama Amazónico presents a screening at Gato Vadio featuring five award-winning short films from different territories across the Amazon:

Five films that bring reality and imagination closer together, inviting us to discover a fantastic, mysterious Amazon, deeply connected to its territories and the stories that shape them.

After the screening, we will be joined by Lorenna Mesquita, an artist and researcher from Pará, for a conversation about the fantastic in Amazonian cinema and how legends, memories and collective imaginaries are transformed into film.
