“Lines that take shape: from sketch to material, a journey between imagination and technique.”
Between the sheet and the volume, “From 2D to 3D” is an invitation to transform drawing into object. The workshop begins on paper: each participant sketches their own idea, inspired by Mariana Malhão's illustration, visible on a tablet, and by the unique pieces in the Peso Real store. The flat lines become a project, the starting point for a journey that combines imagination and technique.
For two hours, young people aged ten and up discover how a simple sketch can take shape, how what was flat gains depth, revealing itself as an object that can be seen and touched. The creations are then printed in 3D and displayed in the space itself—a small gallery where paper and matter meet.
At the end of the exhibition, each participant takes home their printed piece, tangible proof that a line on paper can cross dimensions and become a real presence.
This event is part of the Pop-Up do Futuro program, an initiative included in Bombarda Digital, a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, led by the Municipality of Porto in partnership with Porto Digital, Associação Quarteirão Criativo, and AHRESP.
More than a cultural event, Pop-Up do Futuro is a meeting point for residents, visitors, merchants, and creators, consolidating Bombarda as a territory of innovation, diversity, and experimentation.
