A company of playwrights and actors are faced with a budget that has been cut substantially in relation to what was planned (and necessary) to make a play. The grant application was based on the idea of travel as a form and time to think about the world and the place that artists occupy in it. With only the support of a cultural institution (FITEI), the artists, in a kind of statement, decide that they will adapt the show, rather than abandon it (and shut it up), thus exposing the difficulties inherent in putting on a decent show with so little budget. In other words, they accept being the spokesperson for a class that is always struggling to survive. They are iron artists, who do not dismantle, do not bend, which is the same as saying that “it is better to continue than to break”.
