On January 9, 2026, at 9:30 p.m., the Church of Our Lady of Lapa will host the traditional Epiphany Concert of the Porto Conservatory of Music. This event celebrates the New Year through music and the talent of our students.

The concert will bring together the String Orchestra of the 2nd cycle, conducted by Magna Ferreira, the Plucked String Orchestra of the 3rd cycle, directed by Tiago Cassola, and the Wind and Percussion Orchestra of the 3rd cycle, under the direction of Avelino Ramos.

It will also feature the participation of the 7th‑grade student choir and organist Margarida Neves, in a program that will include works by Haendel, Bartók, Beethoven, Gounod, Holst, Pachelbel, among others.
It will certainly be a festive evening of music to celebrate the New Year. Admission is free, subject to the church’s capacity.
