It’s estimated that a DJ set with all possible mixes would take 114 billion years — eight times the age of the universe — and there’s still xplenty of music left to create.

The Sound Collage Workshop will be dedicated to exploring multiple techniques of sampling, digital composition, and improvisation, following intuitive threads to create music whose sum is greater than its parts. We’ll introduce simple ways of editing and finishing tracks on the computer, multiple methods of sourcing audio material from unusual places, and dive into the more immediate practice of mixing and improvising with CDJs.

The workshop is open to enthusiasts of any experience level, with curiosity and openness to the infinite possibilities of mixing.
