Renowned for his rhythmic approach and unique sound, vibraphonist and composer Eduardo Cardinho has developed a distinctive voice on his instrument over the years, establishing himself as one of the most creative performers on the national scene today. He seamlessly navigates between jazz, improvised music, classical, pop, and electronic genres. With albums that have been highlighted in the “best of the year” lists by national music magazines, Cardinho brings his third original work, Not Far From Paradise, released this past April, to this concert, where he will perform as part of a sextet. The Flat Earth Society, a Belgian big band founded and led by Peter Vermeersch, also arrives with a new album, the intricate and cinematic The One, a collaborative work that raises a flag in favor of diversity against the complacency of the single narrative.
