Inspired by Inês Meneses’s book Caderno de Encargos Sentimentais, this creative workshop — Read and Accepted: A Zine of Sentimental Clauses — is led by Madame Zine.

Just as a terms of reference document sets out objectives, deadlines and obligations, participants will fill in the clauses of their own personal zine, combining quotes from the book with their own words, selected or written on paper in different colours, adding rubber stamps and the song that each feeling brings to mind (there is a lot of music woven into the book). Each page becomes a clause, each participant signs their own “read and accepted”, and, by the end, all the feelings come together, with all the paperwork duly in order.

Open to all ages. No previous experience required.
All materials will be provided at the event venue.
Free participation, subject to venue capacity.

In this way, Inaugurações Simultâneas reaffirms its commitment to artistic creation, critical thinking and community engagement, expanding its programmer beyond the visual arts and strengthening the dialogue between different cultural practices in urban public space.
