Energy hurricane — there are many faces to the woman born Karla, but known to the world as Blaya. In 2008, it was dance that led her to join the collective Buraka Som Sistema, and from 2018 onward, it became clear that Blaya was much more than just the band’s vocalist. A hurricane doesn’t know how to stop — and neither did Blaya: several singles and EPs followed (the single “Faz Gostoso” confirmed her status as an icon).
Everyone thought they knew Blaya, but few were prepared for the vulnerability that was yet to be revealed. The release of her latest album, “Lado B,” marks a renewal of her image and musical style. There’s empowerment, alternative pop, soul, and (a lot of) truth. On October 25, Blaya will present her album at Plano B, giving herself body and soul, as always, in an unmissable concert full of new rhythms and sounds.
