BARBATUQUES presents their new show celebrating 25 years of existence. The show features the most recent songs released by Barbatuques in 2022, such as "26", "Eu Vou Cantar" and "Natureza", as well as classics from previous albums, like "Barbapapa's Groove" (the first body percussion piece composed by Barba), "Baião Destemperado" and "Baianá", which are already successful on streaming platforms across Brazil and the world. The show, therefore, celebrates both the past — highlighting the musical journey up to this point — and the future, showcasing current compositions that include songs and collaborations with various artists, such as Russo Passapusso ("Natureza"). It is a performance that explores the tribal and folkloric sounds of the first album “O Corpo do Som”, moves through the avant-garde experimentalism of “O Seguinte é Esse”, touches on the richly crafted harmonies and polyrhythms of “AYÚ”, and arrives at their latest work, where song takes a central role in the group’s research, and collaborations with other artists are firmly established.
