Matmo comes from the words "materialism" and "monster".
This show talks about the way the aerial body, space and objects interact and transform, as well as their sound; if it's true that all aspects of the mind are the result of material interactions, what do the objects and spaces we interact with transform us into?
Illusion becomes a focal point as that gift we human beings have of believing in what is not visible, but which somehow helps us to stay alive.
Matmo is a contemporary circus performance that uses a body and abandoned objects to modify them, intervene in space and modify them, intervene in space and transform materials and concepts.
Simple suspended tubes sound, move and become the most iconic and sublime of what people "leave behind". - La Tribu Performance
The show was selected as part of Diálogos, a project supported by IBERESCENA, the Ibero-American Performing Arts Support Fund, through its support for the programming of festivals and stage spaces.
