Jo da Silva earned a degree in dance from the Ginasiano Dance School, the Lisbon Higher School of Dance, and the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, but found inspiration in the traditional dances of various countries around the world—and in their fusion with contemporary practices and concepts—to get people of all ages moving. She regularly collaborates with various national and international organizations.
