Founded by Alain Gomis in 2018 in the Grand Dakar neighbourhood, the Yennenga Center is a place for training, post-production and exhibition that returns the artistic and political means of cinema to young West African filmmakers. In 2026, the Centre Pompidou presented part of this work in its retrospective dedicated to Gomis. In Porto, two programmes bring together films made or supported by the centre, where collective creation meets stories of work, memory, exile, ecology, belonging and change.
