“A rare opportunity to see — and experience — the creation of a mural from virtual sketch to final stroke.”
In the courtyard of Circus Network — a space that is already an open-air gallery for urban artists — a new mural is born, created especially for this experience. Artists Diogo Cottim and Marco DTLS invite the public to explore the fusion between urban art and immersive technology in a workshop where physical and virtual reality meet.
Armed with brushes and VR glasses, participants draw in the digital space before moving on to the real wall, experiencing how augmented reality can expand the practice of mural painting. Each gesture is a test, each stroke is a choice — the final mural becomes the visible record of a collective process.
On September 27, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., the courtyard will be transformed into a laboratory of imagination where anyone over the age of 16 can not only watch the process, but also try out the technology and leave their mark on the work.
This event is part of the Pop-Up do Futuro program, an initiative included in Bombarda Digital, a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, led by the Municipality of Porto in partnership with Porto Digital, Associação Quarteirão Criativo, and AHRESP.
More than a cultural event, Pop-Up do Futuro is a meeting point for residents, visitors, merchants, and creators, consolidating Bombarda as a territory of innovation, diversity, and experimentation.
