Donde ya no se vuelve (Where it Becomes Impossible to Return)
This series moves through the emotional residue left by the loss of a place once tied to belonging, intimacy, and shelter.
What remains persists as something that continues to inhabit us, quietly lodged within the body long after absence has settled.
There are places we never entirely leave, carrying them long after they disappear, even after it becomes impossible to return.
BIO
Mimi Papandrea is an Argentinian artist based in Barcelona. Her work is guided by an intuitive and evolving process, shaped by personal experience and emotional states. She is drawn to structure, geometry, and repetition, working through minimal forms. Her pieces explore the passage of time and a sense of nostalgia, moving between presence and absence, and reflecting on what lingers.
