Maria is a singer-songwriter and, in addition to her eclectic repertoire of jazz, MPB, bossa nova, soul/pop, Portuguese music, and fado, she likes to be identified as a world music singer, aiming to break cultural and musical boundaries. For her, there are no barriers in music — everything can be blended and experienced in many different ways.
