Instrumental marathons have become emblematic events at Casa da Música. The first was held in the centenary year of Helena Sá e Costa: the Keyboard Marathon, which brought together pianists, harpsichordists and organists – instruments that the honouree played throughout her career. Later, the initiative was extended to the cello, in memory of Guilhermina Suggia, the legendary performer after whom the main hall of Casa da Música is named.
This year, it is time to open the doors to other instruments. In the first marathon of the year, on 14 March, Casa da Música invites students and teachers of all ages to a whole day of music, sharing and inspiration. Solo or in a group, get your flutes ready and come and enjoy a unique experience, full of concerts and unforgettable moments, in an atmosphere that celebrates talent and passion for music.
