800 Gondomar, from Rio Tinto (Portugal), are a tour-de-force of distorted garage rock, infamous for its energic and disruptive performances, moved by strong tracks that mix the noisy chaos of the present with a very particular revivalism. They explore several symbols of belonging from their suburban routine, applying them in a universal and sharp way throughout their music and in the urgency of their performances.
With an history of hundreds of performances across Portugal and Europe, and prime time concerts at festivals such as NOS Alive and Vodafone Paredes de Coura, their music and show were and continue to be praised in major national media such as Ípsilon, Time Out Magazine and Antena 3, among others.
A band formed by childhood friends, and with a career of several years and a five-year hiatus in between, they returned full-time in 2024, with their second LP – São Gunão (roughly translated as Saint Chav).
In 2025, they continue with their unstoppable pace, with the first semester of the year featuring a massive 18-date Japanese tour and a unique African tour.
