What if an obsolete phone booth became a portal to the memories and desires of this place? What if, by picking up the disused telephone, we could hear the voices of those who live in the neighborhood and play in the park at Largo Soares dos Reis?

Serpentina proposes a sound installation of several tracks, extrated from interviews with local residents and vendors, audio recordings made with children during participatory activities and other narratives. Somewhere between a “speaker’s corner” and a “hotline”, this installation highlights the importance of community involvement in reimagining of the city.
