In this introductory course to gouache and watercolour, we explore how the two techniques diverge and converge. Through their fluidity and gestural qualities, participants will understand how the transparency of paint interacts with the light of the paper and becomes painting.

Through studio practice, we will explore the full spectrum of both approaches, developing a deeper technical understanding accessible to both beginners and more experienced painters.
