EN
(IN) DIGNITIES is a collective photography exhibition that compiles the perspectives of professionals who work daily with people in situations of poverty and social exclusion, as well as the individuals themselves, from 10 public and private institutions in the Porto district in 2021. The idea was to capture the different perceptions and experiences of poverty and social exclusion through each person's lens, opening up the theme for sharing and reflecting on this issue, which is lived every day by real people and is marked by successive violations of human rights.
Of the 44 photographs, the Portuguese Center for Photography selected 10 (one photograph from each participating entity), which are on display from October 4 to 24 at Porto´s Former Prison and Court of Appeal, CPF's headquarters, inviting everyone to observe the various perspectives of those who experience it from within. After four years, what differences, what similarities can we find?
