Lourenço Crespo and Leonardo Bindilatti affirmed the uniqueness of Iguanas through a blend of alternative pop, lo-fi psychedelia, and post-punk, with lyrics oscillating between the confessional and the absurd. An urban, mixed, and multicultural sound to which the last album, Mala Feita (2025), brought new characteristics. The band is more polished, but also more pointed, sad, and explosive. There is more guitar, but the dance remains. What could fit into the canon of breakup albums becomes an epic with multiple characters and narratives, where the irony and fantasy of the details carry more truth than the pure account.
