The 200th anniversary of Carl Maria von Weber’s death provides an opportunity to revisit one of the most significant German composers in music history. During this afternoon’s Hora de Ponta session, as well as hearing pieces by Weber himself, we will also hear works by other figures who have contributed to the development of such a distinctive musical language over the centuries – a mirror of cultures and a reflection of ways of thinking.

Hora de Ponta is a weekly event organised by Fonoteca Municipal do Porto. Every Wednesday between 6 pm and 7 pm, the public is invited to visit the space for an informal gathering and to listen to a selection of themed records.
