The exhibition "Fontes sobre a Vigília do Farol" brings together a collection of paintings and drawings that explore the human condition through an iconography of hybrid figures, somewhere between the human and the fantastic. Boats, wings, columns, mountains, candles, and archaeological monuments also appear in compositions that evoke both the collective memory of civilizations and the intimate experience of individual crossing. Fragments of landscapes and remnants of past worlds emerge as traces of a larger narrative: that of existence in motion.

The central axis of this exhibition is the idea of displacement — physical, temporal, and spiritual. The “act of movement” is not only thematic but also structural: it proposes a reading of the human being as a traveler, confronted with the choices that build and shape their paths. Time here takes on an anachronistic dimension: figures, objects, and settings seem to coexist outside a linear chronology, as though history folded upon itself in order to question the present.
