Nocturne (Parade) begins with a gust of wind sweeping through the space—the very same breath that forges an invisible bond between us.
The visible is made up of anthropomorphic puppets and inflatable landscapes, whilst we, as humans, are simultaneously the creators and anchors of reality.
In this ‘Parade’, Life and Death take centre stage, right before our eyes. These eternal adversaries, entangled in their endless dance, reveal themselves both in victims and executioners, in slaves and masters, in parents and children, in horses, and in a long procession of skeletons and flags.
Immersed in darkness, the audience is invited to embark on a sensory experience, to feel before they see, to pass through a tunnel—before finally finding the light.
This is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the universe of Phia Ménard, a distinctive figure in the European scene.
