Dower continues to open the doors of its office in Porto to contemporary art with the presentation of “Fenda”, the new exhibition integrated into the Dower Culture initiative. This project reinforces the firm’s commitment to bringing together the fields of law and management with artistic creation and the community.
Created by artist Sara Lino Mota, “Fenda” proposes a reflection on how “we see, remember and construct images.” More than a physical place, landscape is presented here as an unstable territory, shaped by perception, memory and time.
“Dower Culture continues to establish itself as a central project in the way we engage with the community. With ‘Fenda’, we reinforce our commitment to giving space to new artists and to bringing together different fields — in this case, artistic creation and the business context — through initiatives that promote reflection and dialogue,” says Eduardo Castro Marques, Managing Partner at Dower.
The exhibition brings together a set of black-and-white photographs and acrylic paintings on canvas, developed in 2026, with works available for purchase.
Created by Dower, Dower Culture positions itself as a strategic pillar that integrates culture, social responsibility and connection to the local community, transforming the firm’s space into a meeting point for different disciplines and practices. In this context, the firm establishes partnerships with art education institutions, the first being with the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP). This project creates a visibility platform for recent graduates from the Fine Arts and Intermedia Arts, and Visual Arts – Photography programmes, through six-month exhibitions at the firm’s premises, allowing clients and partners to engage directly with emerging artistic production.
In addition to its cultural dimension, the project also includes a social component: during the exhibitions, the artworks will be available for purchase, with part of the proceeds being donated to Centro Juvenil de Campanhã, an institution that supports young people in vulnerable situations. In this way, the initiative reinforces the role of culture as a driver of connection and positive impact within the community, bringing together emerging artists, the business sector and the local reality.
The exhibition “Fenda” can be visited from Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 6 pm, at Dower’s office in Porto.
