CdM Concurso Internacional de Piano Santa Cecília

### Semifinal | Chamber Music

The four semifinalists of the Santa Cecília International Piano Competition, selected from among some of the most promising young pianists on the international stage, are challenged to reveal another dimension of their artistry: chamber music.

For this round, the candidates will be joined by the **Quarteto do Porto**, comprising Álvaro Pereira (Violin I), Ana Madalena Ribeiro (Violin II), Mateusz Stasto (Viola) and Nikolai Gimaletdinov (Cello), members of the Porto Symphony Orchestra at Casa da Música.

The semifinal places special emphasis on listening, dialogue and musical collaboration — qualities that are essential alongside pianistic virtuosity. The repertoire includes some of the most celebrated piano quintets of the Romantic period, by Johannes Brahms, Antonín Dvořák, Gabriel Fauré, César Franck and Robert Schumann.

From this round, three finalists will be selected to return to Sala Suggia for the Competition Final, where they will perform a piano concerto with the Porto Symphony Orchestra at Casa da Música.
