It is wonderful to hear babies’ first sounds. First, onomatopoeia, then proto-words, until we reach their first words, such as “mummy” and “daddy”. Music is also made up of sounds, although very different from those produced by babies. All of these are the basic ingredients for this concert, which values and highlights the importance of listening to and cherishing those who will be the children and adults of tomorrow’s world. Their sounds are part of a performance that spans various musical traditions.
