Being an adult is hard, but at least we can have breakfast for dinner.
Adulthood comes with a list of responsibilities we simply weren’t prepared for. Suddenly you are completely dependent on yourself and when did you ever sign up for that?
But behind the worrying, the life admin, the mind numbing tasks and the ocasional panic attack, there is a silver lining that maybe we don’t think about often enough.
And that is: that you can do whatever the f*ck you want. Even curse on an official description of your work.
Even if we do have a lot of time, financial, emotional or physical limitations, in the end, we make the decisions. And whenever all these constraints feel overwhelming, unsurmountable even, there is one thing they can never take away from us:
Breakfast for dinner.
This exhibition is a collection of breakfast tables of which there is no time record of, that may have happened at anytime of day, on any day of the week.
They are small moments of freedom filled with color and pure joy, that can be reached at any given moment.
This mix of digital art and ceramic pieces by Kika will make your mouth water for that sweet and sour adult life you’ve been hoping to ignore for just a little bit.
