Two Scalding Cimbalinos
I don’t know, my friend,
what radiated more heat:
the scalding cup,
the boiling cimbalino, or
the conversations about books of poetry
that, at that time, we still
believed to be the greatest
reason of all.
Short, regular, full—
the cimbalino, that dark aroma
with its white frame
on a café table, in the city
where we had always lived.
Inês Lourenço, from* “O Segundo Olhar”

Atelier 3/3 is a multi-dynamic, collective and creative project** focused on alternative publishing. It operates as both a mobile workspace and a small press, created to highlight the diversity of independent and self-published works.
The collective functions as a cultural and recreational association, led by Cristina Alves (President), a teacher in the Portuguese lower and upper secondary education system, who holds a postgraduate degree in Library Management.
Cristina Alves is also the organizer of ZineFest PT, an international event dedicated to fanzines.
Madame Zine is her semi-heteronym, responsible for multiple self-published editions, publications, and dispatches from her own world**—produced by her own hands and other improper hands. Unruly and without encyclopedic record, it gathers scattered notes and images, photographs, nomadic poetry, and the ambition of becoming many books at once: bookseller and book, free and untamed.
Cristina Alves collaborates with several spaces located in the Miguel Bombarda Cultural Quarter, namely the independent bookstore Gato Vadio.
