About the Artist – Rita de Almeida Leite
Rita de Almeida Leite (b. 1996, Porto) is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Porto. She holds a Fine Arts degree (FBAUP, 2018) and a Postgraduate degree in Fine Arts (FBAUP, 2020), and completed an intensive course in Community Art Practices at PELE Association (2022).
Her work spans Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and the production of publications. Rita draws inspiration from everyday life, closely observing light, nature, and the marks or traces left behind. Her artistic research explores the connections between image and memory, the visible and invisible, presence and absence.
