Bioengineering and regenerative medicine are redefining the boundaries of modern medicine by opening up new possibilities for repairing, replacing and regenerating tissues and organs, with implications for the entire population, from the youngest to the oldest. From the interface between biology, engineering and technology, innovative solutions are emerging that promise to profoundly transform the way we treat injuries, chronic diseases and degenerative conditions.
This roundtable will bring together experts from different fields — from medicine to engineering, from academia to industry and civil society — to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of bioengineering, as well as its role in building innovative, accessible and sustainable solutions for health.
As part of the celebrations marking i3S’s 10th anniversary, this initiative reinforces the institute’s commitment to interdisciplinary science that is innovation-driven and impact-focused, capable of transforming knowledge into solutions that improve the quality of life.
