With 25 de Abril just around the corner and as is customary at this time of year, Fonoteca Municipal do Porto plays the Revolution, revisiting some of the records in the collection that followed the dawn of freedom. In this Hora de Ponta, you will hear traces of the impact that the Carnation Revolution had on popular culture and Portuguese music production, namely some of the musical manifestations, from praise for democracy to the tense climate of the PREC, including tributes to the heroes of the resistance.
Hora de Ponta is a weekly event organised by Fonoteca Municipal do Porto. Every Wednesday between 6 pm and 7 pm, the public is invited to visit the space for an informal gathering and to listen to a selection of themed records.
