Passos no Escuro returns to open another season of psychotronic cinema in the city of Porto. Halloween has always ended up as our starting point, not only because of the occasion itself, but because it also marks the seventh anniversary of the cycle at Passos Manuel.

This session brings together new voices in Portuguese horror and new voices in Hollywood horror, for a night full of tension and fun.

First, the short film "End of Night" ("Final da Noite") will screen, previously presented at the latest edition of MotelX – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, with filmmakers Duarte and Henrique Gandum in attendance. A film about a blind date that turns into a fight for survival, laced with humor and blood.

From there, fate takes us to the horror debut of Zach Cregger, the filmmaker behind "Weapons" and "Resident Evil", who first surprised audiences in 2022 with "Barbarian." In it, a woman books a stay at an Airbnb, only to arrive and find a man who claims to have booked that very same place for that very same date. A story full of suspense and dark humor, with plenty of surprises along the way.

A perfect lineup for a night that wants exactly the right tone.
