“Angélica Salvi’s harp in trance, where breath and tide meet in a cosmic dream of sound.”

Spanish harpist Angélica Salvi, based in Porto since 2011, is dedicated to improvisation and contemporary and electroacoustic music, exploring multiple techniques of preparation and amplification of the instrument in search of new timbres and sounds. She invites the audience to immerse themselves in her emotional and spiritual references, using them as a guide to a dream.

Starting from the acrobatics of breathing—inhaling, exhaling—and the dynamics of the tides, Salvi travels through the universe of repetition in a cosmic invocation that transforms into magnetic and syncopated movement. In this inner, dreamlike, and intimate journey, the audience is led along winding and tropical paths, in a potentially shamanic experience, between ambiguous and multifaceted sounds that echo from Papé Nziengui to Alice Coltrane.

This event is part of the Pop-Up do Futuro program, an initiative included in Bombarda Digital, a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, led by the Municipality of Porto in partnership with Porto Digital, Associação Quarteirão Criativo, and AHRESP.

More than a cultural event, Pop-Up do Futuro is a meeting point for residents, visitors, merchants, and creators, consolidating Bombarda as a territory of innovation, diversity, and experimentation.
