Parsifal was the last opera Wagner conducted, in 1882, eight months before his death. Born exactly a century after the premiere of this mystical work, conductor Andrew Gourlay decided to compile a suite that would allow the audience to immerse themselves in those sublime orchestral pages by the German composer, which until now have been largely inaccessible to concert hall audiences.
