In this edition, we celebrate the 45th anniversary of one of the country's most beloved pop rock bands: GNR are performing this month at Coliseu Porto Ageas, and they spoke with Agenda Porto. In the month that marks World Music Day, we highlight our conversation with international artist Ganavya, who will take to the stage at Casa da Música on 15 October. The singer-songwriter has combined jazz standards and abhangs (800-year-old poetic structures), sung in English and Tamil (a language dating back two millennia).

Also noteworthy is the launch of the book O Coliseu é Nosso (The Coliseum is Ours), by Valdemar Cruz, marking the 30th anniversary of the popular demonstration on 4 August 1995, on Rua de Passos Manuel.
PZ's celebration of 20 years of records, fimp'25 – Porto International Puppet Festival, the Family Film Project and BALUARTE – Urban Art Exhibition are also highlights of this edition.
In Unzip Code, we visited Espaço Cultural Jubilant, where concerts, dance classes, film screenings, talks, exhibitions and many parties take place. And at a time when the grape harvest is still underway in the Douro, in the section Porto Syntax, we went to meet two generations of coopers: Manuel and Ricardo Jesus.
The guest on Porto is in the eye of the beholder is Rita Topa, an architect based in Japan, who is part of Kengo Kuma's Japanese studio which, in partnership with the OODA studio in Porto, is responsible for the renovation of the old slaughterhouse in Campanhã, which will be transformed into a cultural centre.
The focus in Portography is on the ‘old’ Cine-Teatro Vale Formoso, which for two decades was a place of worship for the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. The space was recently acquired by the production company UAU, which held an Open Day. Agenda Porto took the opportunity to visit the cinema-theatre, which is set to reopen to the city in 2027, resuming its primary function as a space for cultural events.
Lots of suggestions for an autumn with so much to see, hear, do and enjoy in the city.
