In the rythm of november
In this edition, we look at Porto as a city of encounters and multiple affiliations. Between new cultural and leisure initiatives and emblematic spaces, we celebrate the creativity and welcoming spirit of the city, which continues to reinvent itself through those who inhabit and imagine it.
In Porto de Chegada [Port of arrival], we present five projects created by Porto residents who came from elsewhere — Baque Flores do Porto, Svet Space, Zamaan, Bar of Soap and Porto Arts Club.
In Unzip Code and Something, we knocked on the door of number 65 R. do Belomonte, the address of Pinguim Café, an old bar with a young soul, where different generations come together for evenings of poetry, live music, performances and comedy.

In the month that marks National Portuguese Sign Language Day (LGP), one of our country's three official languages, we met with Cláudia Rubim, an LGP interpreter and translator, who speaks to us with her hands in Porto Syntax section.
The guest on Porto is in the eye of the beholder is Maria Gil. The actress, director and activist for the rights of the Roma people spoke to us about her artistic career, her relationship with the city and the fight against racism.
In Portography, we visited a kind of secret treasure located on Rua de Costa Cabral. It is the house that businessman Fernando de Castro transformed into a veritable ‘altar without worship’ and which houses an unusual art collection.
The Porto/Post/Doc film festival, which takes place from 20 to 29 November, the Orientação na Baixa programme, the last Porto Sounds Secret concert of the year, and the premiere at the Carlos Alberto Theatre of Santa Joana dos Matadouros, a play by Brecht directed by Bruno Martins, are some of the highlights of this edition.
