23 Jun — 22:00
Largo do Amor de Perdição will be the stage for two national titans. Herman José will brighten up the night with his mix of elegance and vintage irreverence, while Quim Barreiros will demonstrate why many consider him the king of the festivities.
The party will continue with the curatorship of two anthropologists specializing in national songwriting: Pimbaú and Paulo Cunha Martins will bring not only catchy and familiar songs, but also little-known gems from popular discography.
23 Jun — 22:00
The Casa da Música square will once again host performances that oscillate between counterculture and a post-ironic appreciation of the legacy of popular festivals.
Tio Jel — a character played by musician and comedian Nuno Duarte — will certainly bring irreverence and oily Latin flair. Ena Pá 2000 will spice up their nonsense rock with special guest João Melo (from Fúria do Açúcar). DJ Fernando Alvim will take all these cues to keep the party going.
23 Jun — 22:00
Those who choose to party at the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal will have Cláudia Pascoal and Ana Bacalhau as masters of ceremony — the artists recently collaborated on the single “Imperial é Fino,” and here you can see where their hearts lie.
The rest of the night will be hosted by Equipa Turbó Baile, a collective that makes “pimba” a way of life.
24 Jun — 18:00
The traditional São João concert will take place, as usual, at the Concha Acústica, in the gardens of the Palácio de Cristal.
Like all other initiatives, it is free of charge and takes place in the late afternoon to allow for a restful break from the revelry of the longest night of the year.
The Cascata Comunitária remains one of the oldest traditions of the city's festivities and, as such, continues to have a special impact on all those who participate in and observe this community project. With the help of all those interested, who can participate free of charge in the workshops held throughout the month, the aim is to build a representation of the traditional houses of the city of Porto. The São João Community Waterfall can be visited at the Bolhão Market between June 11 and 28.
