The witchcraft of moving photographs
Passos no Escuro (Steps in the Dark), a series of horror and B movies, returns for a new season on a date that is so familiar to them. This session also marks another anniversary of this series, and the choice for the celebration fell on the national premiere of V/H/S/HALLOWEEN, the latest chapter in the acclaimed saga of horror anthologies in found footage format.
On Halloween night, The LAB.yrinth studio is offering a screening of the film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. This film is a classic of German impressionism—a silent film from the 1920s that projects the anxieties and fears of post-war Germany into its supernatural story.
The day before, LAB.yrinth is also offering a concert (see below).

The Batalha Cinema Center will host its usual Halloween surprise film. As usual, this film will be presented by Guilherme Cobretti and Jay Toso, who will be hosting a special edition of the Batalha Quiz before the screening.
Bets are being taken on this year's surprise film, and it may or may not help to consider last year's mystery film: Dèmoni, by Lamberto Bava.
