The Helena Sá e Costa Theatre is a school theatre, dedicated to higher education training, and belongs to the School of Music and Performing Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. The theatre was named after the remarkable pianist from Porto, Helena Sá e Costa, to whom we owe a remarkable cultural contribution and who is still today a great exponent in the training of successive generations of artists. The theatre was built from scratch and designed by the Portuguese architect Filipe Oliveira Dias in 1996.
